Crafting for a Cause

“Crafting for a Cause” is a group whose creative focus comes together on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays monthly. Their creations often serve the greater community, like skilled nursing facilities, Ukraine Relief, and Palisade “Trick-or-Treat Street.”  Some of their more recent projects include crafting fidget blankets for individuals with dementia, and making blankets for people who are being air evacuated to Denver or Salt Lake City.  There is always something in the making at Crafting for a Cause!

The Great Outdoors

“The Great Outdoors Group" began in 2018 with a handful of hiking enthusiasts who wanted to explore local trails and view the wide variety of vegetation types and wildlife found on the Western Slope. Over time the group has grown in number, and people from the greater Grand Valley participate in the outings. Over time the group’s activities have expanded to include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, geocaching, birding, rockhounding, and mushrooming! The group meets typically on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays monthly. Note: Dogs are welcome on most of the group outings but are not allowed on hikes within the borders of Colorado National Monument.
